MAXGARD DPA-8 (Octocrylene) is a liquid ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizer which protects plastics and coatings from damaging UV radiation found in sunlight.

Application Details: 

MAXGARD DPA-8 (octocrylene) is a 100% active liquid ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizer with low color, extremely low volatility and that does not react with other additives or pigments. Compatible with all major PVC plasticizers and easily incorporated into liquid systems, DPA-8 (octocrylene) is used to stabilize plastics (like PVC plastisols, plasticized PVC and liquid color formulations), coatings (including polyester gel-coats and inks) and adhesives from the harmful effects of ultraviolet light (UV).

Application Details: 

MAXGARD DPA-2 (etocrylene) is an ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizer which is extremely useful in thermoplastic resins due to its excellent ultraviolet light (UV) protection and good heat stability. It also contributes less color than many other ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizers in plastics, coatings and adhesives.

MAXGARD 1000 (benzophenone-2) is an effective ultraviolet light absorber (UV absorber) which acts as a stabilizer for protecting plastics, coatings and cosmetics from ultraviolet light (UV) radiation damage found in sunlight.


 

Application Details: 

MAXGARD 1000 (benzophenone-2) is very compatible with plastic optical lens materials and highly effective as an ultraviolet light absorber (UV screen) for these products. It also provides improved stability in cosmetics and perfumes and improves colors in various applications. MAXGARD 1000 has a very broad ultraviolet light (UV) absorption band which extends into the UV-A range.

MAXGARD 700 (benzophenone-12) is an excellent ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizer for protecting plastics from natural ultraviolet (UV) radiation in sunlight.

Application Details: 

MAXGARD 700 (benzophenone-12) is an ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizer which provides good compatibility with numerous polymers (including PVC, polypropylene and polyethylene) and inexpensively guards against yellowing. At certain concentrations, it conforms to FDA regulations for additives in polyolefins used in some food packaging applications. In addition to plastics, MAXGARD 700 is used to stabilize coatings, adhesives and sealants from the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

Application Details: 

MAXGARD 600 is a 100% active liquid ultraviolet light (UV) stabilizer which is miscible with a large number of common solvents and plasticizers, allowing it to be incorporated into many different systems. It can be used in plastics (flexible and rigid PVC, PVC plastisols, liquid color formulations), polyurethane coatings and vinyl and acrylic adhesives.

MAXGARD 300 (benzophenone-6) is an ultraviolet light (UV) absorber which protects plastics and coatings from damages from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It is less expensive than equivalent tetrasubstituted benzophenone ultraviolet light (UV) absorbers.

Application Details: 

MAXGARD 300 (benzophenone-6) absorbs ultraviolet light, thereby increasing the lightfastness of dyes on polyester window film and polyester fabrics. It is also used to stabilize plastics, coatings, such as polyurethanes, furniture stains and varnishes, nitrocellulose lacquers, fluorescent pigments and photographic emulsions, textiles and adhesives.
